This is the best overview of holistic methods of healing and the balance between the body's organs and systems that I have ever read. Silvia Casiabianca is to be commended for her knowledge, insight, and ability to explain it all in a beautiful way that also just makes sense. I recommend Regaining Body Wisdom book highly.

Class description

Enjoy this retreat-like weekend when you will learn about Reiki as a Usui's natural healing method. You will also have the opportunity to meditate and relax. By the end of the day you will feel energized and rejuvenated.

The Reiki level I class combines lecture, discussion and hands on. You will learn how to administer Reiki treatments and how to use Reiki on yourself. You will also become part of our Reiki community, where the doors are wide open to new practitioners.

What's Reiki?

REIKI is a natural healing method we owe to a Japanese, Mikao Usui. The word REIKI comes is formed from two Japanese kanjis: Rei, meaning universal energy and Ki, meaning the energy that animates all living being (equivalent to the Chinese word Qi, and the word Prana for Hindus). When Rei and Ki flow harmoniously together, we are whole and enjoy optimal physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. REIKI means our connection with the universe, our restitution to the whole.

Blockages to the flow of energy at any one level of our being manifest as symptoms or disease. In REIKI, the practitioner is a conduit for universal energy that goes to himself or herself and he or she passed it on to another person, with the intention of supporting healing processes. Healing is not solely the disappearance of a symptom, but a complete resolution of the causes of disease. This implies a process of personal awakening.

A principle in REIKI, common to other energy healing modalities, is that vital energy nourishes the organs and cells and when this energy is blocked or impeded, toxins accumulate and the body cannot continue to work well.

If you want to know more about Reiki, go here to find more information about Reiki and holistic health.

Please reserve your seat at least two weeks before the class. Seating is limited. Smaller classes are more enjoyable... we try to have no more than 8 people per class. People who have already taken Reiki can come to the class for free. If they receive an attunement (Reiju) they contribute $55 and if they need the CEUs, there is a $25 administrative free. Show us your previous certificate please.
